REQUIREMENTS FOR OBTAINING

BUILDING PERMITS

IN THE TOWN OF RAYMOND 

MUST HAVE: 

1.)     Zoning Permit issued by Racine County

2.)     Culvert Permit issued by Town (New Home)

3.)     Two (2) sets of plans

4.)     Completed Wisconsin Energy worksheet (New Homes)

5.)     Completed building permit application to include builder certification number and master plumber certification number (if applicable)

6.)     $1,000.00 completion bond deposit for all projects that equal or exceed $5,000 in total cost.

7.)     Two (2) surveys (One to include proposed erosion control measures)

8.)     All new homes, new accessory structures or additions to existing building foot prints need to go in front of the Town of Raymond Planning Commission along with a review fee of $25. 

All new homes and additions are required to have an erosion control plan.  They may not need silt fence or bales, but they do need to show the following on the survey: 

  1. Access drive/tracking pad with 2”-3” stone
  2. Stock pile location
  3. Grades on point elevation of existing and proposed elevations
  4. Specific notes of grades of 12% or greater
  5. Any existing vegetation for example:  Grass, hay field, etc.
